Saipan is a solitaire wargame about the US invasion during June-July, 1944 of the Japanese held island of the same name. Uses the rules system based on that featured in Red Beach One (Tarawa) published in S&T 142. Published in Strategy & Tactics magazine #162, along with Clontarf. Game Scale: Turn: 24-48 hours Map: 900 meters Unit: Company/Battalion/Regiment Game Contents: One 22 x 34" (Saipan uses only half of the map as the other half is for Clontarf) One countersheet (200 1/2" dual-side printed counters, 100 for Saipan and 100 for Clontarf) One 7 page rulebook
