Replay value

Jungle Speed offers a high level of variability with its gameboard and multiple paths to victory. The presence of expansions adds some additional content, although not as impactful as desired. The game provides room for strategic improvement over time, allowing players to discover new tactics and strategies. The player interaction score is average. Jungle Speed scales well with different numbers of players, maintaining its appeal and balance. The game is relatively easy to learn, striking a balance between depth and accessibility. Overall, Jungle Speed has a good replayability score of 7.36, making it a game worth playing multiple times.

Luck profile

Jungle Speed has a moderate level of luck involved in the game. Random elements, such as card draws, have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate the randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with neither element dominating. Overall, Jungle Speed offers a good balance between luck and player agency.

Overview

What ABG knows about this game

In Jungle Speed, you must rely on your keen sense of observation and quick reflexes. It requires a steady hand -- which can be hard to maintain during the many fits of maniacal laughter! The wooden Totem sits in the middle of the table, waiting for the player with the fastest reflexes to snatch it up and win the game. Each player is dealt a hand of cards. In order to win you must be the first player to get rid of all of your cards. Each turn, all of the players reveal one of their cards. If two cards are identical, those players must make a grab for the Totem. The faster player then gives their cards to their unfortunate adversary. To add to the difficulty, certain cards are almost identical, which can trick a hapless player into grabbing the Totem by mistake -- a grave error. Other cards force all players to make a grab at once, change the method of play, or otherwise add to the difficulty.
