The Chosin Few has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, impactful expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and good scalability. From the publisher: The Chosin Few is a solitaire wargame depicting the events of the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War, November - December, 1950. The historic outcome was a pyrrhic victory for the Chinese. I made this game because I am in awe of what happened at this battle. Of what the marines accomplished. In my opinion it was a modern day Thermopylae. The difference between the two battles being that in Thermopylae the Spartans were at least able to take advantage of the Terrain to minimize the Persian’s numerical advantage. But in this battle the US forces were completely surrounded. They had no way of evening the odds at all. But somehow, caused such devastation to the Chinese forces that they had to permanently disband 2 of their divisions and the remaining divisions were still under-strength for 7 months. You control the United Nations X-Corps, which primarily consisted of US Marine and Army forces. Particularly the 1st Marine Division and 7th Infantry Division. The game’s AI system will control the Chinese forces as they come pouring over the border into Korea and surround you. Components Board Rules 25 cards (2.5"x3.5"; 63.5mmx88mm) 11 counters 2 standees 20 cubes 1 six-sided die
