[From the back cover...] VICTORY AT WATERLOO is a deceptively simple game covering that epic encounter between Napoleon and Wellington on 18th June, 1815. The onus is on the French player to defeat Wellington's army before the Prussians can have a definite influence on the outcome of the battle. The counter mix includes Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry for thre three armies involved: French, British and Prussian. Although the rules are simple the game can be played again and again -- usually turning out the be a cliff-hanger every time! Optional rules cover command control, the Old Guard and the strengths of artillery and cavalry. The game is suitable for beginner to the hobby of board wargaming, the rules being easy to learn and containing numerous examples of play. Components: 16" x 23.5" full color, mounted map board in two pieces, 100 die-cut counters, rules booklet and one six-sided die.
