Table feel

Ultia has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth, with frequent interaction among players. However, it does not emphasize cooperation as much.

Replay value

Ultia has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, expansions available, strategic depth, scalability, and moderate easiness to learn. The game offers different experiences each time it is played, with the potential for new tactics and strategies to be discovered. The presence of expansions adds new content and gameplay elements, further enhancing the replay value. The game adapts well to different player counts without compromising its appeal or balance. While it may take some time to learn, it offers a rewarding and engaging experience for players.

Luck profile

Ultia has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. While players have some ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions, luck still plays a significant role. The game is a balanced mix of luck and strategy, making it suitable for players who enjoy a combination of chance and skill.

Overview

ULTIA is a trick-taking game for three players from Japan. Players are one of the 3 sons sent out by the King of the planet to work to save the planet Ultia from extinction. "You must work together to find a planet for us to settle on. The one who contributes the most to the exploration will be my successor." To Win: The first player to reach the target score wins the game. How to play: During Phase One - Players create their own victory condition for Phase Two by discarding cards and retrieving cards from the discard pile to form their hand. During Phase Two - The player who set the highest condition wins that condition. Then the remaining two players will perform trick-taking.
