Pogo has a high degree of variability with its gameboard, offering different experiences each time it is played. The availability of expansions adds new content and gameplay elements, enhancing replay value. The game also provides deep strategic possibilities and allows players to improve their strategies over time. The player interaction score is moderate, and the game scales well with different numbers of players. While it may take some time to learn, Pogo offers a good balance between easiness and depth. Overall, Pogo has a strong replayability score of 7.85.
Pogo has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements like dice rolls or card draws have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. While there is some room for players to influence or mitigate the effects of randomness through strategic decisions, luck still plays a significant role. The game has a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with the outcome being determined by a combination of player decisions and luck.
Overview
A stacking game akin to Sid Sackson's Focus/Domination, only with fewer pieces, a smaller board, and much more attractive production. This is a "coffee table" sort of wooden game. The purpose of the game is to get a piece of your colour on the top of every stack. It is played on a 3x3 board. You start with 3 stacks of 2 pieces on the three spaces closest to you. On your turn, you take up to 3 pieces from the top of a stack that has one of your pieces on top, and move them, orthogonally, the same number of spaces, putting them on top of any stack aleady in the ending space. Stacks may be any size.
