Replay value

The Outcast Heroes offers a high level of variability with its gameboard, allowing for different experiences each time it is played. The presence of expansions adds new content and gameplay elements, enhancing the replay value. The game also provides deep strategic possibilities and room for players to improve their tactics over time. The player interaction score is moderate, and the game scales well with different numbers of players. While it may take some time to learn, the game offers a good balance between easiness and depth. Overall, The Outcast Heroes has a strong replayability score of 7.8 out of 10.

Luck profile

The Outcast Heroes has a moderate level of luck involved in the game. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.

Overview

Playing The Outcast Heroes, you will become a commander of a Polish underground military unit and you will fight against Communism. The USSR wants to include Poland in its influence zone, but there are still people who resist and stand up for independence. Will you manage to stop the red plague? The Outcast Heroes presents the story of the so-called Cursed Soldiers, the units that fought against Soviet invaders at the end of World War II and did not lay down their arms even after the War was officially over. The players send their soldiers on missions and must cooperate in order to beat a mission's Difficulty Level (but please note that it's not a truly cooperative game, it just employs some elements of the co-op mechanics, you do not play "against the game"). They earn Glory Points for successful missions as well as for achieving their Secret Goals. In the Secret Goals deck there are also Traitor cards (traitors earn points when missions fail). The game mechanisms also involve an element of bidding (to determinine the first player) and secret Order cards given to the soldiers to enhance their power. The game is divided into three stages and each stage consists of four rounds. Whoever gathers the most points after the third stage wins. Latem 1944 r. Polski Komitet Wyzwolenia Narodowego, czyli nielegalna w?adza wykonawcza w Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej ustanowiona przez Józefa Stalina, przywódce Zwi?zku Socjalistycznych Republik Radzieckich, wyda? dyrektyw? Leopold Okulicki, ps. Nied?wiadek, ostatni dowódca Armii Krajowej, wyda? rozkaz o rozwi?zaniu tej organizacji i zwolni? ?o?nierzy z przysi?gi. Inne oddzia?y zbrojne nadal podejmowa?y walk? z radzieckim okupantem. Sta? na czele takiego oddzia?u i walcz o “Woln?, Niepodleg?a, Szcz??liw? Polsk?!” W "Bohaterach Wykl?tych" gracze wciel? si? w dowódców oddzia?ów walcz?cych z nielegaln? w?adz? komunistyczn?.
