L'Aigle Foudroyé (The Struck Eagle) covers the first weeks of the campaign in France in 1870 up until the surrender of Sedan, during which time the French Imperial army was defeated by the Prussian forces assisted by some German contingents. Each game turn represents five days of real time, for a total of seven game turns. As with any VV game, the counters are unmounted.
