From the English instructions of play. “The conquest of the west” reproduces the phases through which the colonists had to go, being first obliged to obtain their “traveling equipment” and then to set of into the unknown west. This game does not belong to any specific time in XIX century and so people and historic events that really took place on different dates appear at same time. From two to six players can take part, the winner being the one who first reached the points with a red circle inside, situated on the pacific coast. First of all, each player must obtain this “traveling equipment” consisting of oxen, arms, provisions, and a wagon in the east, that is, on the green section of the board; then having acquired his equipment, the player enters the red section, which is the west, in order to attain his objective NAC edition 1982 Factor Games edition 1990
