Table feel

The game has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies. However, there is less emphasis on cooperation in this game.

Replay value

The game has a high replayability score due to its high variability, strategic depth, and scalability. The presence of expansions also adds to its replay value. While it may not be the easiest game to learn, it offers a rewarding experience for those willing to invest the time.

Luck profile

The final luck score for Bundeswehr: Northern Germany, Late 1970's is 4.333. This indicates a game that is heavily dependent on luck, with little influence from player strategy. Random elements, such as dice rolls or card draws, predominantly determine the game outcome. There is very little room for players to mitigate the effects of randomness, and luck plays a significant role throughout the game. Players have limited ability to influence the outcome through strategic decisions and planning.

Overview

Bundeswehr is a battalion/regimental level simulation of hypothetical combat in Northern Germany in the 1970's. This area has been chosen primarily because of its geographic location. If Soviet forces succeed in their advance across the North German Plain, they could link up with Soviet forces from Southern Germany and the Hamburg area in a concerted effort to push into Western Europe. Scale: one mile hexes, 12 hour turns. Quad game, part of Modern Battles II: Four Contemporary Conflicts, along with The Battle for Jerusalem 1967, DMZ: The Battle for South Korea, late 1970s, Yugoslavia: The Battles for Zagreb, 1979
