From the rules: The War of the Worlds is a Science-Fiction themed two-player board-wargame based on the S-F novel of the same name, written by the British author H. G. Wells. On a large hexagon grid game-map, one player controls the Martian forces and attempts to attack and destroy the city of London. The other player controls the Human forces and attempts to destroy the Martians and protect London.
