Res Arcana Duo is a complete two-player game and a fully compatible expansion for Res Arcana. Each player guides a mage who converts Life, Death, Elan, Calm, and Gold into an increasingly efficient tableau of artifacts. The sixteen-card artifact set is deliberately tight, and a new two-player draft lets both rivals shape their opening engines before play begins. During a round, collect essences, then alternate single actions: play an artifact, activate a power, discard a card for resources, claim a monument or place of power, or pass to exchange magic items and draw. Cards serve several purposes, making every resource conversion and timing choice matter. With no attacks in the standalone set, interaction comes through the draft, the race for shared objectives, and reading when the opponent can reach ten points. Combine the set with Res Arcana and its expansions for a broader card pool.
