Kitty Cataclysm offers a high level of variability with its gameboard, expansions, and strategic depth. The game scales well with different player counts and has a moderate learning curve. Overall, it provides a solid replayability experience.
Kitty Cataclysm has a moderate level of luck influence. Random elements like dice rolls or card draws have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. Players have some ability to mitigate the effects of randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is a balanced mix of luck and strategy.
Steal, draw, donate, and pass around your cards. Try to hold onto the most valuable ones, but watch out for a sudden cat-aclysm or cat-astrophe. On your turn in Kitty Cataclysm, you simply play a card (placing it into your kitty), then do whatever it says. Getting more cards will give you more "meowney", but a few cards in the deck punish anyone with too many cards in hand. The game ends when someone has no cards to play on their turn or if the deck runs out. Occasionally the game can end in a single round, but most games take about seven minutes.
