Table feel

Imagician has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies and turns. However, there is less emphasis on cooperation in the game.

Replay value

Imagician offers a high level of variability with its gameboard, expansions, and strategic depth. The game adapts well to different player counts and has a moderate learning curve. Overall, it provides a fresh and engaging experience with a solid replayability score of 7.8.

Luck profile

Imagician has a moderate level of luck involved in the game. Random elements like dice rolls or card draws have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.

Overview

Imagician reinvents the principle of dot-to-dot drawing: connect the dots to discover what you are drawing. In each round, an imagic spell made of several ingredients is revealed. Simultaneously, players connect the ingredients on their board to draw a shape. The first player to guess the shape they are drawing (even if that drawing is incomplete) writes what it is on their board and starts a countdown for the other players. Once the countdown ends, players win points if they guessed correctly what the shape represents. Each game will have you guess eight objects from more than 225 different spells with various challenges. Codes will lead you to draw specific shapes: curves, multiple lines, circles, etc. This way, your drawings become more and more complex. In the first game, a short tutorial will help you get started immediately and learn the different codes. —description from the publisher
