boop. turns an inviting quilted bed into a deceptively sharp two-player abstract game. Each player begins with eight kittens and keeps eight adult cats in reserve. On a turn, place one available piece on any empty square; it immediately “boops” every adjacent piece—orthogonally and diagonally—one space directly away. Pieces pushed beyond the edge return to their owner, while pieces blocked by another cat or the edge of a line may stay put. Aligning three of your kittens removes them from the bed and graduates them into adult cats you may place on later turns. Cats can boop kittens and other cats, but kittens cannot move adults. The first player to align three cats wins; a player can also win by getting all eight cats onto the bed. Every placement changes several future lanes, so a tiny ruleset produces forks, sacrifices, forced pushes, and surprising reversals. The fabric board drapes over the box to create the game’s memorable bed-shaped playing surface.
