Overview

The Battle of Lobositz, October 1st, 1756 This was the first field battle between the Austrians and the Prussians in the Seven Years War. When it became clear to Frederick the Great (Friedrich II of Prussia) that Marie Therese of Austria was building a coalition of nations to attack him, he decided to strike first. He invaded Saxony, trapping its army and knocking it out of the coalition. An Austrian army under General Browne rushed up into Saxony to try and drive out the Prussians and rescue the Saxons. The two armies met at Lobositz. Postcard game using one sheet for the map, few counters and easy rules. With additional scenario and optional rules. A Must Have ! Suitable in solitary play.
