Table feel

Temple Antics has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies and turns. However, the game does not emphasize cooperation as much.

Replay value

Temple Antics offers a high level of variability with its gameboard, expansions, and strategic depth. The game scales well with different player counts and has a moderate learning curve. Overall, it provides a fresh and engaging experience with a strong replayability score of 8.1.

Luck profile

Temple Antics has a moderate level of luck involved in the game. While random elements like dice rolls or card draws do have an impact on the game outcome, players have a significant ability to mitigate the effects of luck through strategic decisions and planning. The game strikes a balanced mix of luck and strategy, making it suitable for players who enjoy a combination of both elements.

Overview

Temple Antics is a solitaire 1-page PNP roll and write adventure. You are an adventurer stranded on a legendary cursed island. Starting from your parachute you have to work your way across the island. If you can recover the cursed idol from the temple and reach the plane before sun falls you will escape and lift the curse. Each turn you will move into a new tile, drawing the walls as you move. You'll also face an encounter that could help or hinder your progress. As the sun rises and sets the island will grow more deadly. If you run out of health or the sun sets (after 15 turns) you will die on the island. —description from the designer
