Tasso Safari has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, impactful expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and good scalability. The game offers fresh experiences each time it is played and allows players to discover new tactics and strategies. The presence of expansions adds new content and gameplay elements, further enhancing the replay value. The game adapts well to different player counts without compromising its appeal or balance. While it may not be the easiest game to learn, it offers a good balance between easiness and depth.
Tasso Safari has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. Players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.
In the abstract game Tasso, each player starts the game with the same number of sticks. On a turn, a player lays one of their sticks on the game board or on sticks already present on the game board; whenever a player lays a stick on two sticks already laid, they immediately take another turn. (Note that a stick cannot support more than one other stick.) Whoever first places all of their sticks on the game board wins! Tasso Safari keeps the same gameplay as Tasso, but the action is moved to Africa with sticks of different lengths that represent giraffes, elephants, lions, and zebras. Kilimanjaro and Lake Victoria both make an appearance, offering both beauty and obstacles around which players must maneuver. Can you take your animal sticks to the next level?
