Table feel

Roll & Wall has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players must frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies and turns. However, there is a lower emphasis on cooperation in the game.

Replay value

Roll & Wall has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, impactful expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and good scalability. While it may not be the easiest game to learn, it offers a fresh and engaging experience each time it is played.

Luck profile

Roll & Wall has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements like dice rolls play a notable but not exclusive role in determining the game outcome. While there is some room for players to mitigate the effects of randomness through strategic decisions, luck still plays a significant role. The game has a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with neither element dominating the outcome.

Overview

!!!ATTENTION!!! Special unique climbing equipment available at ESSEN SPIEL 2018. Use the power of Mystical TIBETAN POTION or magical FLYING CARPET to claim your victory. Special tiles set free of charge for each purchased copy of ROLL & WALL. Provided with all the necessary equipment like good shoes, ropes, and a chalk bag — as well as some lucky charms in your rucksack (just in case) — you are taking part in a climbing competition. Your aim is to become a world-class climber by reaching the top of the mountain first and getting one up on your opponents. Roll & Wall is a fast-paced family dice racing game, for 2 to 5 players, in which you try to climb as high as you can by using dice. During your turn, you have six dice and you have to decide how many of them you want to use for each step. Climbing up requires to roll dice with matching or higher value than those printed on your chosen space on the board. You can take a risk and try to roll "4" or higher by using only one die or play it safe and use three dice. Used dice become unavailable until your next round, so you should choose wisely. Throughout the race, climbers can use handy items which they picked up at the beginning of the game. Special amulets, energy bars, and professional climbing equipment help players to reach the top faster or (if you are a mischievous rascal) to make climbing harder for other players. The game contains three modular two-sided race tracks which allow for the track to be changed at the beginning of each game. Inside the box you will find an awesome cardboard dice tower, making rolling the dice a much more charming experience. Gather friends and family and check if you got what it takes to become master climber!
