Replay value

The game offers a high degree of variability with different experiences each time it is played. The expansions available add new content and gameplay elements, enhancing the replay value. There is ample room for players to improve their strategy over time, with deep strategic possibilities. The game adapts well to different player counts without compromising its appeal or balance. While it may take some time to learn, the depth it offers makes it worth the investment. Overall, Phenomena has a strong replayability score of 7.8.

Luck profile

Phenomena has a moderate influence of luck. While random elements like dice rolls and card draws play a notable role in determining the game outcome, players also have substantial ability to mitigate the effects of luck through strategic decisions and planning. The game strikes a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with player decisions and strategy being the primary factors in determining the game outcome.

Overview

In this strategic adventure game the players travel through the land of Aldra, trying to fulfill prophecies in order to defeat the forces of the evil magician Sherpa. The players will advance in the skills of fighting, wisdom and friendship, but only clever use of magical items and spells will make them succeed. The use of spells is central to the game, and it requires magic stones, resources that must be harvested from the different kinds of terrains throughout Aldra. The game is based upon the Norwegian fantasy book series "Phenomena" by Ruben Eliassen.
