Histórias de Pescador has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. While there is some room for players to mitigate the effects of randomness through strategic decisions, luck still plays a significant role. The game has a balanced mix of luck and strategy, with neither element dominating the outcome.
It's the last fishing season of the year and all the fishermen have gathered to tell tales of their greatest catches. Anything goes to get the group's admiration and the title of best fisherman. On his turn, a player must play at least one card from his hand, face down on the table, and declare a type of sea creature he caught. The other players choose to accept or confront his claim. When confronted, a player must reveal his cards and, depending if he was being honest or not, get a bonus or a hindrance. The game continues with players declaring cards of the same creature or changing the subject to another creature, until a player successfully plays his last card, telling his last story, and becoming the best fisherman of the group. -description from publisher
