The game world of A Ultima Fortaleza presents a world where monsters fight like heroes and heroes behave like monsters. Here, the medieval fantasy races — elves, dwarves and humans — usually associated with heroics, part of an extremist fundamentalist sect called the Order of Light The Order of Light, lead an inquisition against intelligent creatures of evil or chaotic nature, commonly. Monster races — the Greenskins, Immortals and Draconians — and virtually wiped out of the face of the planet. The few monsters who survived the purge of the Order of Light have gathered in the rubble of the Last Black Fortress. They have to put their differences aside and use their instincts to find a way to, together, prevent their races from becoming extinct.
