Table feel

Canosa has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies and turns. However, there is less emphasis on cooperation in the game.

Replay value

Canosa offers a high level of variability with its gameboard and expansions, allowing for different experiences each time. The strategic depth and scalability add to its replay value, while the player interaction score ensures engaging gameplay. Although it may take some time to learn, the game offers a good balance between easiness and depth. Overall, Canosa has a strong replayability score of 7.93.

Luck profile

Canosa has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. Players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.

Overview

Canosa is two-player abstract strategy board game based on sirens from Greek mythology. In the mythos, sirens were often depicted as either mermaids or winged bird-like humans whose hypnotic voices caused sailors to crash their ships and drown. In the game, each player is a siren competing to capture as many shipwrecked sailors in the open water as then can and return them to their respective island. The rings are the resource in the game that act as the siren's voice. Use them to capture your opponents' sailors, then call them to your island. The first player to bring four sailors to their island wins. —description from the publisher
