Roman Empire, 115AD... the almighty Emperor received some disturbing news about strange creatures roaming the Empire... In A birodalom bajnoka (Champion of the Empire) you can play chosen warriors of ancient nations. Follow Jahmes the Egyptian, Labienus the roman legionaire, or Tancred the german chieftain on a mission to defeat a legendary mythological monster - but first you have to improve your skills to have a better chance in the final battle. Among many others, the hellhound Cerberus, the cunning Gorgon or the mighty Cyclops are waiting to meet their fate by your sword! A birodalom bajnoka is an epic mythological adventure for 2-4 players, where each player controls a Hero, in search of a legendary monster. Players need to accomplish quests, face encounters and gather information about the creature's location. During their turn players are moving around in ancient Europe, exploring locations and getting involved in richly detailed encounters by drawing Event Cards. Occassionally, they're getting into combat, where a unique battle card-based mechanism combined with dice-rolling determines the outcome. The player, who finds and kills the monster, will be Champion of the Empire and thus gains eternal fame and glory!
