Read the full game description

Axis & Allies (2004), commonly called the Revised Edition, modernized the classic global war game with a redesigned map, artillery and destroyers, updated unit values, directed technology research, and victory cities. Two sides divide five powers: Germany and Japan face the Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and United States. Each power collects income, buys units, makes combat and noncombat moves, resolves land, sea, and air battles with dice, then deploys reinforcements. The rules are approachable by historical-wargame standards, but the four-hour horizon and sprawling board reward alliance planning, production math, transport logistics, and knowing when to press an attack. It is usually best with two players each running an alliance or five players each owning one power.
