Table feel

Triviathon has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to pay attention to each other's actions frequently. However, there is less emphasis on cooperation in the game.

Replay value

Triviathon has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, availability of expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and adaptability to different player counts. The game offers fresh experiences each time it is played, encourages improvement in strategy over time, and maintains a consistent and engaging experience regardless of group size. While it may not be the easiest game to learn, it offers enough depth to keep players engaged and coming back for more.

Luck profile

Triviathon has a moderate level of luck involved in the game. Random elements such as card draws and dice rolls have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate the effects of randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role. Overall, Triviathon strikes a good balance between luck and strategy.

Overview

Players advance around a board by choosing one of four questions on a card and moving forward based on the number or color that answers the question. The cards come in three types. With the 'color' type, each of the four colors of board squares will be one of the answers, and the player will move his playing piece to the nearest colored space that corresponds to his answer. On the 'list' and 'number' cards, '0', '1', '2', and '3' will be the answers, and the player will move his playing piece forward the number of squares corresponding to the answer. Each piece also comes with a character card, and that character's special move may be made once during the game.
