Stew has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players must frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies. However, the level of cooperation required is relatively low.
Stew has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, impactful expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and adaptability to different player counts. While it may take some time to learn, the depth it offers makes it worth the investment.
Stew has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. Players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.
Stew is a push-your-luck, partial knowledge game. You and your fellow players take on the role of a farmer collecting items from the garden to make a stew. There are six vermin that want to eat your stew before you do. Draw a card and add it to your stew or feed some of the vermin to protect your pot. Make sure you do not wait too long, or your fellow farmers might eat your stew. Released in the April 2018 Board Game of the Month Club $20+ package.
