Reforest is a tableau-building card game about cultivating a resilient Pacific Northwest ecosystem. Each turn, gather two plants from the deck or face-up nursery, or pay nutrients from hand to introduce one plant into an allowed low, middle, or high elevation row. Space is tight, but taller plants can cover pioneer species at a discount, turning every placement into both an ecological connection and a spatial decision. Plant traits chain through flowers, fruit, habitats, reactions, and scoring abilities. When the deck empties, an animal visitor chooses the forest that best matches its habitat preference. After every visitor has found a home, players score their plants and hosted wildlife. The result is an accessible engine builder with meaningful drafting, multi-use cards, and a strong sense of a living forest growing across the table.
