Table feel

Orion has a high level of direct confrontation and strategic depth in confrontation. Players need to frequently pay attention to and react to each other's strategies. However, there is a lower emphasis on cooperation in the game.

Replay value

Orion has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, impactful expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and adaptability to different player counts. It offers fresh experiences each time it is played and allows players to discover new tactics and strategies. The game is moderately easy to learn, providing a good balance between accessibility and depth.

Luck profile

Orion has a moderate level of luck influence. Random elements have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.

Overview

This game was first published by Parker Brothers in 1971. It is in fact not a game in itself but a game system. The rule-book includes 15 games for 2-4 players and 7 puzzles for 1 player. The difficulties of the games are very variable. The parts and the board are without a doubt built to last, with a very ingenious system which makes the wheels "click". Pieces are in four different colors and are numbered. This even gives the possibility to note the games or ways to the solutions of the puzzles. And there is also a custom die!
