Nisyros is a co-operative worker placement game for 2-4 players of 12 years and older. In the game, players manage the inhabitants of the vulcanic island Nisyros. The vulcano is exploding and it is up to the players to escape to the neighbouring island Kos in time. During their turns, players collect resources of the island. The higher they go up the vulcano, the more fertile the lands are and therefore the resources collected, but it also comes with higher risk. With the resources players feed their people and build boats and dams. The dams are used to stop the flow of lava and the boats are used to escape the island. To win Nisyros, players need to work together, come up with a good strategy and have some luck. The board can be set up in different ways and there are the game offers three difficulty levels.
