Mycelia is a tactical strategy game that follows the full life cycle of fungi: growth, expansion, decay, and rebirth. Players begin with a mother mushroom and a small network on a map of triangular nutrient tiles. On each turn, choose two actions from six possibilities to move, grow mushrooms, produce and spread spores, add new terrain, or decay mature fungi. Sporing extends your network and opens new growth sites, while decay removes a valuable mushroom in exchange for a potent action at exactly the right moment. Insects, shared space, and opportunities to steal or block spores keep neighboring kingdoms in constant contact. The map develops differently every game, and each mushroom card—illustrated from real species—offers its own requirements and scoring direction. Build the most productive network, time the cycle well, and finish with the strongest fungal kingdom.
