Herbaceous is a gentle set-collection card game built around one deliciously tense choice. Each turn you reveal an herb and decide whether it belongs in your private garden or the communal garden; the second card must go to the other space. Before planting, you may fill one unused container by gathering eligible herbs from both gardens. Each container wants a different pattern—many copies of one herb, a wide variety, pairs, or any three herbs—and once filled it cannot be used again. Waiting grows a stronger set, but every card in the communal garden is available to rivals. A bonus herb biscuit rewards the first especially diverse glass jar, and included solo rules preserve the same push-your-luck rhythm in fifteen to twenty minutes.
