Everdell Duo distills Everdell’s worker placement and tableau building into a game designed specifically for one or two players. Across four seasons, players gather twigs, resin, pebbles, and berries, then play critter and construction cards into compact cities. A sun and moon travel along the meadow, and only cards touching either marker may be played, turning the shared market into a constantly shifting timing puzzle. Competitive play rewards sharper city building and event races, while cooperative play uses objectives, limited turns, and a chapter-based campaign whose scenarios reshape the challenge. Familiar card synergies remain central, but the restricted meadow and brisk thirty-minute structure make every placement consequential.
