The game Don't Quote Me has a high replayability score due to its high variability gameboard, the availability of expansions, deep strategic possibilities, and good scalability. The player interaction score is average, and the game is moderately easy to learn. Overall, it offers a fresh and engaging experience each time it is played.
Don't Quote Me has a moderate influence of luck. Random elements like dice rolls or card draws have a notable but not exclusive impact on the game outcome. However, players have substantial ability to mitigate randomness through strategic decisions and planning. The game outcome is primarily determined by player strategy and decisions, with luck playing a minor role.
Players race their pawns around a pentagon shaped board. To move, a player must correctly identify the speaker of quotations on cards drawn during play. The player to the right of the player draws a Quote Card. She then reads aloud the quote which matches the category of the player's current space. Players move 3 spaces for guessing without a hint, 2 for guessing with one (biographical) clue or one for picking the right name out of three suggested names. The first player to return to her starting position wins.
