Similar to Guillotine, and later re-designed with Bruno Faidutti as Draco & Co., Die Tafelrunde is a game of positioning. Draco, the king, sits at the round table, and distributes gold to the subjects sitting with him. He will always distribute gold starting with the players closest to the hand holding his goblet, while those sitting farthest from his goblet have to pay for the privelege of sitting at the table. Players play cards out of their hands to move themselves closer to Draco, or to move other players farther away. Whoever has the most money at the end of the game wins! Rereleased by Eurogames as Draco & Co.. Schacht designed a sequel, Die Tafelrunde 2 - Auf der Flucht. Same theme world but different game.
